Institute of Social Research at NaUOA 2 Seminarska str., Ostroh Rivne region, 35800 Ukraine Institute of Social Research, a scientific research subdivision of the National University of Ostroh Academy, was created in accordance with the decree of the University Rector in June 1997. The formation and development of the Institute took place 1997 till 2007 under the supervision of the Professor Verbets. Since June 2007, the Institute has been headed by I.V. Shostak. The aim of Institute operation is organizing and conducting sociological researches, assistance in, dissemination of sociological knowledge among the university youth and elaboration of the theoretical basis of sociological science. The directions of Institute research: - organizing and conducting specific sociological researches made by University subdivision; - completion of sociological researches meeting the orders of enterprises and companies on a city, a country, region and international levels; - creation of data base with a view to providing the sociological structural subdivisions of university, mass media, etc. with the scientifically-substantiated data; - assistance in dissemination of sociological knowledge among as well as student youth and population; - cooperation with sociological research institutes, scientific and educational establishments of Ukraine and foreign countries; - participation in the regional, all-Ukrainian and international scientific conferences and seminars with a view to discussing the questions of the current state of sociological science, its tasks and role in the socio-political and socio-economic development of Ukraine; - integration of the results of the Institute scientific activity into the university study process.
