Students’ Projects

Theatre (English speaking theatre) is organized within the College of Romance and Germanic Languages. It is engaged in staging classical and modern plays of English and American playwrights. Both the students and the teaching staff are involved in theatrical activities where language skills and creativity of the students are improved by means of art.

Discussion Group arranges the meetings with outstanding people on the matters of the students’ interests and those induced by the modern social and economic situation (deviant behaviour, the status of the Ukrainian language, development of the sound and harmonious personality, etc.) as well as with participants of international exchange programmes (Canada World Youth and Net Corps) and foreign visitors.
Such meetings allow the students to compare the culture of foreign countries with the that of Ukraine, improve their ability to identify various kinds of communication devices and apply them in intercultural exchange. These encounters provide the experience of acting as a mediator between a foreign and Ukrainian culture; they also effectively help to resolve intercultural misunderstandings and conflicts.
